  1. Stana:
I am having trouble logging in and registering for the DCC conference for Sept 11-12
and to renewing my TAPR membership.
The problem seems to be my email & PW.

    1. Hi Carl,

We’ve changed our website (Who am I kidding? It was a complete redo.) At any rate, the approach is to purchase a membership and a DCC registration.

      1. Click on Shop from the menu at the top.
      2. Click on the 2 at the upper right (take you to the next page).
      3. Click on View products under DCC Registration.
      4. Scroll down the page and add 1 Virtual DCC 2020 Registration and 1 TAPR Membership.
      5. Click on Add to cart and the View cart and Proceed to checkout.

Let me know if you run into problems.

  2. I’m looking forward to this but, I gotta say, your messaging is a mess. Three different Zoom invites, most or all of which had the conference running for a week. I still haven’t gotten an answer from TAPR about the real start time/day … but the ARRL of all people posted the date and time. I had to go looking for the program (which, clearly, I have found).

And then to find out that everyone lives in the Eastern time zone and the schedule is built around that. I guess I should just be thankful that I live in CDT and not PDT!

    1. Hi Peter —

Thanks for the feedback! We know that the messaging was not as clean as we would have liked. We are learning as we go, and discovered that Zoom would not let us do some things the way we thought we would be able to and we had to redo the communications plan at the last minute. However, the full schedule (with times in PDT, EDT, and UTC) is available on the TAPR web site.

And with an international audience, there’s no timing that’s convenient for everyone. To accommodate the West Coast, we moved our start time an hour later than normal, but that means we are running later in the evening, which will inconvenience European viewers.

We hope you enjoy the conference!

      73,
      John

  3. Will the Zoom “Join from Browser”[1] feature be enabled for people who can’t or do not wish to run the Zoom application?

    Thank you,

    Matt

    1. Yes, on the TAPR YouTube Channel (https://www.youtube.com/user/TAPRDigitalVideo)

      73,

      Stana, WA1LOU

        1. That link will work today, but the one tomorrow will be different.

  4. Will someone please send out the Zoom Meeting ID BEFORE the conference begins, or at least point me to where it can be found?

    1. You should have an invitation email from Zoom (not TAPR) so check your spam folder.

      1. Not here, not there, not anywhere.

  5. I am unable to find either a Zoom invite to the DCC in my email, or a link to the DCC Youtube stream on the site.

    1. Did you register via the TAPR store? You should have received an invite from Zoom if you did. The URL for the YouTube stream will be available on the TAPR YouTube channel when the streaming starts: https://www.youtube.com/user/TAPRDigitalVideo

    2. Yes, I did both the purchase and the renewal in the same transaction [Order #8905] (August 28, 2020)

      Thanks

      Stewart

  10. I too did not get Zoom email. The IP it came from was blacklisted by spamcop and my ISP dumped it as a result.

Can anyone please send me the invite.

    1. Hello Joe,
Sorry that your IP has blacklisted Zoom. You may try using your smart phone on 4G or 5G and try that. You can download the Zoom app. There is a meeting number you can type in and join.
