This consists of a piece of Hammond 1455 series extrusion cut-to-length to hold any of the TADD-1, TADD-2, or TADD-3 full-size boards (not for the ‘mini’ units), plus two PCB panels, one correct for one side of all of the units (with the many BNC connectors), and the other side correct for the TADD-3. It turns out that the TADD-3 back panel is a superset of the three TADD units. If you have a TADD-1 or TADD-2, you will have empty holes. We suggest short pieces of Kapton tape on both sides of the PCB.
Soon, we will also have the backpanels for the TADD-1 and TADD-2. At that point we will repackage this offering, and it will become the TADD-3 case product. We will likely sell you a set of 4 PCBs, one front panel and one rear panel for each TADD unit, if you want to cut your own aluminum stock.
We will have approximately 5 of these cases available for purchase at Hamvention. We plan to have an additional 25 available shortly, along with all three unit-specific backpanels.
Note that this offering gives you the same thing that the original TADD case, formerly provided by the late and very missed TenTec sheet metal shop. In their day, they supported the early efforts of some of the major product still available today.
